Sunburn

We try not to make it a tradition, and usually we do pretty good, but here is the first sunburn of the Summer. Yep, it's a doozie! Hard to see, but the blisters were pretty much just one big bubble. The second day the itching started and I thought he was going to scratch his skin off. Luckily we have the internet and could google a solution. The first thing, was to take a shower, and while he did that I found a few other things that could help. On the blisters, I put some bag balm because it has vitamin E and could keep it moist. That was my own idea, so I'm not sure if the cousin that is the dermatologist will approve. Below that I just had some itch X. It worked great for that. The next day it was much better and is now just a little flaky. Think he will learn to put something on next time? I mean with a Mom like me and the skin I have he doesn't have a chance. I bought swim shirts this year and they seem to be working great as long as they keep them on.:)
yeeee-ouch!!! There always has to be the "first" sunburn of the summer huh? We had ours already. You usually don't forget the sunscreen after that!!
ReplyDeleteHope your summer is starting well!!
Owwww!!! We've had rain, rain, rain, so not much chance for sunburn ... yet. :)
ReplyDeleteOUCH!
ReplyDeleteOUCH! That just looks so painful! I was about to say that a good uv protected swim shirt would fix the sunburn problem, but then I read that you have some. Guys really have to be careful (just like everyone) because invasive melanoma is the most common in men and the most deadly.
ReplyDeleteI usually take it upon myself to slather my husband up with sunscreen because otherwise he won't do it.
Please--no more sunburns this summer! Good luck!
it's freezing over here, be a love and send us some sun MH
