Graduation is approaching quickly. Let the world know, I will cry when I see him in his Cap and Gown. Excited, Sad, Scared...you name it. I will be feeling about a million emotions that day. If there are that many. :) What an awesome experience it has been. Looking forward to some very exciting ones to come. Love you T!

Sweethearts dance
Uhhh...not ready for this one to turn 16 and be dating. Here he is checking out his room that was decorated by a cute girl asking him to the Sweethearts dance. He had to find the balloon with her name on to find out who was asking. He responded with a tub of ice cream and re-labled it saying, "Ice screamed when I saw my room. I would love to go to sweethearts with you." What a fun time of life. Wonder if he'll mind if I tag along:) JK!

Klondike 2011
It pretty much amazes me that anyone would go sleep out in 8 degree weather. Anything lower that 65 degrees makes me freeze clear through. But, here we have the scouts annual Klondike and no one complaining. It does look like they had fun, and I do appreciate the leaders who put up with it all.
Sled racing (fastest time!)
Fire starting (not:)
They didn't have time this year to do a snow cave, maybe they'll have to do one in the back yard.

Mini Society
At our school the fifth graders learn throughout the year how businesses work. For a reward system they receive "auction bucks" pretend money and at the end of the year they hold a mini carnival. With their money they purchase a business license, rent for their space, food handlers permit, pay for electricity if needed, etc. for their individual shops. Then at their own expense, hold a carnival. The rest of the students in school and parents are given "auction bucks" to spend at the carnival. It is a lot of fun for those attending, and a great learning experience for the fifth graders.
Some parents are very kind and donated more than others. This year I got the most awesome smoothie (thanks Amy). You can also get nachos, soda, and play a lot of fun games.
