Strawberry Bread

I got this great recipe from a friend and thought I would make it today. It's been raining/snowing all day so baking something yummy hopefully will hit the spot.

3 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 cup vegetable oil or applesauce
4 eggs beaten
2 - 10oz. bags strawberries

Mix together and put in loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour.

Spread:
8oz. pkg. Cream Cheese
1/2 cup strawberry juice

  2. I will try this recipe. Did you mash the berries first? Can fresh berries be used? Where did you get the B. juice? Did you spread the topping on while bread was hot?
Sorry about all the questions, but I want to do it right. Mom

  3. I didn't mash the berries, maybe just cut up a little. Definitely fresh would be awesome. The berry juice just comes from the strawberries. I actually didn't even make the spread this time. It is great without. You can put it on either hot or cold.
